What Qualifications does HQAS have?

All Inspectors at HQAS have qualifications as Registered Builder or higher.

Our experienced Inspectors are kept up-to-date with Australian Standards and Building Codes through workshops and training. Together with our knowledge and expertise, we can give you a professional and accurate report on the Quality & Standard of your Project.

Is HQAS Licensed?

Our inspectors, as Registered Builders, are licenced to carry out all aspects of residential building inspections.

HQAS is also certified through SAI Global (Australia) & operates a Quality Management System.

Is the Inspection for Builder or Client?

HQAS have been carrying out inspections on homes under construction for some of Western Australia’s leading Builders, however, we will carry out inspections on behalf of Building Companies or Private Clients.

Is a written report produced?

Yes – HQAS will always produce a written report for any Inspection carried out. We endeavour to have the report available with-in 24 hours of the Inspection.

Who receives the report?

The report is produced & sent to the Client requesting the inspection.

Is there any other relevant documentation?

HQAS will complete their unique, comprehensive Quality Inspection Manual during the course of a start to finish Building Inspection process. This electronically produced, invaluable document, remains the property of the Client and can be an enduring record of all compliant & non-compliant items inspected.

How valid are HQAS reports?

HQAS reports are only produced by Qualified Personnel and are highly respected & regarded in the Building Industry as a reliable, unbiased & accurate assessment of Works.

Why do I need an Inspection?

Inspections are as relevant and necessary in the building process as the employment of various Trades people.

HQAS inspections will confirm correct construction and adherence to relevant documentation (Plans, Specifications etc), Building Codes and Aust Standards.

How many inspections are needed?

1) During Construction:

The more the better, however we recommend a minimum of 3 inspections

Brickwork/Roof, Lock-Up & Practical Completion

2) Completion:

Recommended minimum of 1 inspection at Practical Completion, however, another Final Inspection after non-conforming items have been addressed, is beneficial

Cost of Inspections?

We at HQAS understand the budget constraints that apply when building, so we keep our fees realistic & competitive.

Remember, paying for an inspection to be done at the appropriate stage of construction, is a legitimate building expense and a worthwhile investment giving Peace of Mind.
